Early Career Researcher (ECR) Group

The US HUPO Early Career Researcher (ECR) group is a community for proteomics researchers in the first 10 years of their professional work experience that was created to support the specific needs of ECRs in proteomics.

Our principle goals are to…

● Connect with and support the needs of ECRs in proteomics and be responsive to their dynamically changing needs.

● Advocate for diversity, inclusion, and equity, including creating opportunities for performing or promoting proteomics related work.

● Foment entrepreneurship attitudes in ECRs, including creating professional development events for unconventional careers beyond academia and industry.

● Provide a community for social support and allyship, including a communication platform and networking events to meet with peers and potential mentors.

We achieve these goals by providing workshops, social events, and a forum to share information, opportunities, network, and maintain contact.
